Write down the buying need before opening the catalog
Broad catalogs can mix unrelated categories, order sizes and product types. A one-line brief keeps the browsing useful: note the product family, intended use, quantity range, required option, delivery country and the date you need to decide.
The name of a directory does not change the evidence you need. Whether the page is a general catalog or a short supplier list, each saved item still needs enough detail to identify it and compare it later.
Use three quick passes instead of one long browse
- Identity pass: Can you name the item with a product code, exact URL and category?
- Fit pass: Are the relevant color, size, material, compatibility or dimensions visible?
